March 1st: 100 years since the first Constitutional Act
March 1st is an important anniversary for Valencia CF, as on this date 100 years ago the club's first Constitutional Act was signed. Essential to the formalisation of the club, the document was put together following a meeting between Augusto Milego, Gonzalo Medina, Andrés Bonilla, Pascual Gascó, Fernando Marzal and Julio Gascó, alongside José Llorca -whose name was added to the act a month later after he received parental authorisation due to his being underage.
The club would be officially formed on March 18th, 1919, but the document was an important step towards this milestone. A hundred years on, the original document has been seen by descendents of the seven founders of Valencia CF (then known as Valencia FC).
